Sibling Greetings from Across the US

So Daphne is now in contact with one of her brother’s and crazy enough Grandma Levine emailed me some pictures of one of my sisters today! Her name is Keta (originally purple girl). She lives with Kim’s (patchworkshepherds.org) aunt and uncle.

OMG! Crazy news! My brother Cooper’s human found us on the Web and posted on the blog! Here is what she wrote:

I was messing around on the internet and found your blog.  I have Daphne’s brother, Cooper (blue male)!  They look like twins!

I entered the site for my blog - hopefully you’ll be able to see some pictures of my guy.  Kim breeds GREAT dogs!  Good luck with the two you have - they are soooo cute!

So exciting! His picture is to the left! You would never know we are related! LOL! This will be fun to watch my brother grow up and see how much he looks like our half brother Pruett!

Now Mom is all worked up about getting snow pictures up in New Hampshire for Christmas since Cooper looks so cute running around in the snow!

Sounds like Cooper has a similar habit to mine - sock stealing! I haven’t written about this yet but it is my secret fun! I love to gather things. I don’t chew them up and Mom and Dad even seem amused by my game so I don’t plan to stop anytime soon. I like to gather, hourd, collect. I have a special corner in the living room where I pile it all up. I would like to think I’m helping Mom and being domestic. My favorite WAS Mom’s sock bin she kept in the closet. I would steal on pair and make a mad dash, ears back, for the living room, with my pretty show girl stride. Mom and Dad always giggle. I drop the socks and admire my pile of toys and goods.

More Maddieness and Tyson

Tyson & I Battle It Out!

Daphne and I went over to see Tyson and Maddie this weekend. What a BLAST! Now that I’m getting bigger they aren’t nearly as scary and I can just run out and start playing Daphne is still more hesitant that I am but quickly joined in the fun.

Each time we go and play Daphne and I get faster and faster. I’m not sure if we’ll ever be as fast as Maddie but I sure hope so. SHE RUNS LIKE THE WIND! She kept “hiding” from us in this big pile of leaves at the back of the yard. SHHHH - don’t tell - but she wasn’t really fooling any of us. She hasn’t noticed but she’s not exactly a tiny girl. We would go “looking” for her and she’d JUMP out of the leaves and start running in big circles around the yard. I’d run after her but I could never catch up. We all played for nearly two hours!!! When she runs fast I get frustrated because I can’t catch her. I bark, bark, BARK at her but she just won’t slow down!

It doesn’t help that it keeps raining here so the ground is all muddy. It makes for some awesome skids and wipe outs but does nothing for my traction and keeping up with the other dogs. Hopefully we can schedule another play date soon!!!!

Big Milestone - Catch

Yay! Today I caught the ball for the FIRST time! It was so exciting! And Daphne finally learned the command “sit”! Mom and Dad said they would take video of it all this weekend!

Daphne Gets to Meet Tyson and Maddie

I introduced Daphne to my friends Tyson and Maddie last night. They ran right up to us when we got to their house but for me and Daphne that was a bit scary! They are big dogs! Daphne yelped and yelped - you would have thought they were attacking her but she quickly adjusted to them and we all got to run around the big yard and play! Daphne is still figuring out how to play (ok I admit - so am I). We tend to bark and herd more than we can figure out this fetch game with a ball. Mom and Dad say we really just fetch the other dogs more than the ball. Hopefully we can go play this weekend in the day time so we can get some pictures of us in action! Daphne and I are getting bigger and faster and I think Tyson and Maddie will have a run for their money soon enough!
