First things first. You would think that 4 weeks after they stole my girl parts I would be A-OK. But apparently not. I woke up Saturday with yucky fluid pockets on my incision site. I WAS LIKE WTF! (I have pics but I’ll spare you) They started to drain some (again I’ll spare you more details) but Mom thought that I should get checked out by a doctor. Of course it was the weekend so we had to go to the speciality emergency vet.

Hi! Im ready for the doctor to see me now.

I sat up on the bench in the waiting room. I like to be at people height. There were several other families there. Some of them were very upset. Mom explained that there were animals there that were much sicker than me. Some of them might not make it through the night. And that I should be really good and sweet to these families since they were going through a really tough time. I was! I didn't bark and even let the families pet my ears. They seemed to like that. I put on my best sweet girl face and was very calm. That is a big step for me. I'm usually pretty hesitant with new people and animals. But these were special circumstances.

We had to wait quite a bit. Finally we got to go into a special room off the waiting room. There was a cool big table that would give me a better perspective. I asked Mom if I could go up there. She said sure and housted me up. MUCH BETTER VIEW FOR SURE!

First a nurse came in and checked something they call vitals. All I know is they stuck something up my butt! HOW RUDE?! SHEESH! Im a lady!

Then the doctor came in. She examined my tummy and said that my incision just wasnt healing right and she didnt know why. But that hopefully with antibiotics I should be OK in no time. Worst case (YIKES) they would have to go in and take out the bad tissue and sew me back up. I really hope they dont have to do that. Mom said if I didnt lick my ouchy then they wouldnt have to do the "worst case". So as tough as it is, Im not going to touch it. The doctor said that I was still allowed to do any activities I wanted (except licking).

My boo boo was already starting to look better on Sunday and it seems to have drained completely. Keep your paws crossed! In other news...

Humans are weird! Especially our humans! Sometimes I have no patience for these silly beasts. See me there in the back. Sigh...Mom is embarrassing!

Pruett agrees! He even looks concerned for their wellbeing. He asked me later if they need real help. That is yet to be determined.

But at least they make us laugh!
Check out http://www.thatmutt.com/2009/03/15/best-outdoor-dog-pictures-week-2/ for some photos that we submitted of us in our element - OUTSIDE! You can enter photos too!

Humans get their choice of so many things. All shapes and sizes and colors. We get what they decide to give us. Well today the humans bought a big box of goodies for them that looked interesting. They made a lot of noise in the box. They call them "Sweetarts" - kind of like me. Hehehehe.

I checked out the box. Seemed like something I might like but I have never had candy so I wasnt sure. I gave Mom and Dad my googly sweet eyes, flirted a little so that maybe I could convince them to let me try one. It worked! I got one little sweet deliciously tart unforgettable mouthwatering piece of candy. I wanted more but they said, "NO". That it would rot my teeth! How unfair?! How come the humans dont care if their teeth rot? They kept eating them! Im going to live a lot shorter time then them - I dont need these teeth as long as you need yours. PULLLLEEEEEAAAASSSSSSEEEEE! JUST ONE MORE! The rest of the night I flirted desperately for more candy but to no avail. Sigh...

Since we couldnt have any more candy, Pruett and I decided to torture the kitteh with the cootehs.

It looks to me like Spring is here. The temperature is rising each day. We have even had some days in the 80s! OMD! I am not sure if we will survive this heat and it isnt even summer yet!

Check out my goofy brother. Hardly into a game of fetch and his tongue is already a mile long! How embarrasing - he just lets it all hang out! BOYZ! So unrefined!

Look! He has is own slobber all over his face! SHEESH!

And now he is picking his nose! PRUETT! EW! (You can click the pic to get a biggy of the pick.)

I am a proper lady. I dont go waving my slobbery, grass gooped tongue around like an uncivilized K-9!

Well maybe sometimes my tongue is out - but it isnt uncivlized. It is quite a refined, ladylike tongue. You dont see any gross slobber mouth here!

Look how big my brother is getting! I hate to admit it but he sure is strong. For a long time we were pretty evenly matched but now he can run me down and knock me over - he is a little TANK! A SHEPTANK!

Oh well, I would rather be a delicate flower of a lady. At least I am faster and corner better. HA! Got that on ya buddeh! And check out my coat - it is coming in wavy and longer like my brother's.

Have a great day everyone! Mom and Dad said we have new humans coming to visit this weekend so not sure how much we will get to post but should have some interesting stories. Hope they like us!

We met a cool dude named Pedro from Dogs With Blogs. His family is doing a super cool project. They have a table in their living room that they fill with shells and glass from their walks.

SEEEE! This is the table!
They thought it would be great to reach out to dog bloggers to have shells sent in from all around the world to fill up the rest of their table. We thought this was sooooo cool that we decided to send them a shell from my first trip to the beach.
Click here if you missed that story.
Well I couldn’t decide which shell to send them so I sent 3. He got them this weekend.

Here he is with our package!
Click here to read about it first hand on Pedro’s Blog.

Check it out - they are reading our letter!
Here is the info from Pedro’s site if you want to participate.
Two sections are pretty full with all the beach glass and shells we’ve found so far. We’re going to start working on the 3rd section soon BUT we have a great idea for the 4th section! We think it would be so much fun if each of you would send us a shell or rock from where you live. We would love to have a Dogs With Blogs section of our coffee table with treasures from all over the world. So if you would like to participate this is what you need to do:
1. Find a rock or shell that is no bigger than 3/4″ or 2 centimeters tall
2. Take a picture of yourself looking for the rock/shell
3. Email me the picture and snail mail me the rock/shell
4. I will then take a picture of your rock/shell in my coffee table and post it on my blog
.
If you have the DWB Christmas Card list you have my mailing address. If you don’t have the list, email me and I will send you my mailing address. I think this will be a really fun project and I hope you all send me a beautiful shell or rock from your neck of the woods!
The email address is: rraynor@aol.com
Let us know if you are participating!

We went over to some visit some of our Mom and Dads people friends for something they call a BBQ. Not sure quite what that is but it smelled delicious. There were two dogs there as well as a miniature human. We want to apologize in advance for the poor quality of the pics. It was pretty dark out. The humans like to stay up late.

Phoebe didnt really want to play. She is older and more mature than us. Tucker is only a bit older than we are. So he was up for goofing around.

There was a big puddle in the backyard. How weird is that? We thought we would check it out. This was our first time seeing a puddle this big. Tucker thought he would check out my butt. BOYZ!

There was a big table stretching out into the puddle. We thought we would check it out. Tucker thought it would be funny to try to push me off the table.

Dad kept throwing sticks into the water and acted like he wanted us to go after them. But we didnt know how deep that water was. Why would we just jump in? Plus they were punny boring sticks. Maybe if he would have made it worth our while we would have been a little braver.

Dad and Mom decided they would just see what would happen if they forced us to go for a swim. DUH! What do you think happens? We paddle our feet and swim to shore. Silly humans! That is Pruett in the water making the splashes right in front of Tucker's head. Sorry the picture didnt turn out better. It was pretty funny!

I tried to sneak off to avoid Pruetts water dog fate...

...no such luck.
Do you all like to swim? I think I would like to try it again!

We finally got pictures of our GSD mix neighbor. She is still a pup and we didn’t want to overwhelm her. Pruett went to check out the situation. I stayed behind and guarded the house in case things got out of hand.

She watched how we played in our yard from up on the hill in her yard. Look how tiny she is! More to come later this weekend on what is going on with that shovel.

Mom and Dad said hello first.

She came over and checked me out. I was trying to contain my excitement but I couldnt help myself and started barking. I was just trying to say hello.

Dont be scared little pup. Youll be big like me one day. Lets play!

I started barking again and tried a little play bow. I think I scared her! LOL! She toppled over!

No need to worry. This girl sprang right back up!

She knows a lot of manners already. And she has obviously been practicing her "give me whatever I ask for because Im just a sweet little innocent puppy" face.

She is really good at sit.

And even knows shake!

We werent sure what this trick was - but it was cute - so we thought we would share.

Grow up fast!

So you can come over and PLAY!
