BFFs

Indulge my sensitive and sentimental side. Look at Vera Lynn and I as wee pups. This was before my sister came along. We were just two pups in field. We knew we had something special between us. We’d be best friends forever.

Here we are today. Having as much fun as ever. Vera accepts that I can’t be monogamous, and she can’t have my babies anyway so it works out ok. We just play tug of war and snuggle on the weekends (a pretty sweet deal if you ask me). She is great with Daphne and plays gently with her and runs and plays tag outside. But when it is our turn we growl and snarl and play tug so rough it would make any dog scared!

Here we are - a year later - still best of pals!

Daphne doesnt like to play quite the same way as we do, but we love her all the same.

Huskies and GSD’s are a great combo for good friendships, whether they like to play ruff or snuggle gently like Daphne… just ask Loki (GSD mix) and Juno (pure sibe)!

I’ve heard that when a puppies make friends under 16 weeks (or something like that) they are forever friends for life. Looks like it’s true!! :)

    What a great looking bunch!!

Vera Lynn is gorgeous! We have been waaaay late in commenting - humongous apologia! Looks like good things are happening here, and Daphne will eventually get into it all!

Those are some beautiful dogs! I miss having a GSD. They’re so complex!
I recently started a blog of various writings about the dogs I’ve lived with and loved. I have one very sweet piece about my wife’s first Seeing Eye dog I think you’ll enjoy.

There’s several other pieces on GSDs, including a very sad one about her last Seeing Eye dog, Arthur.
Anyway, beautiful site. Thanks for sharing.
