Pruett and I had our fourth vet visit yesterday. This visit was to receive our rabies shot (WOOHOO - now we can go to the dog park) and final distemper parvo vaccination. I’m happy to report that I’ve gained 9 lbs (putting me up to 30 lbs total)! Mom and Dad were really excited and the vet even said that Pruett and I could gain even more without concern! Bring on the FEWD! NOM NOM NOM! Pruett now weighs 37.5 lbs. They said Pruett wouldn’t have to come back until a year from now for another rabies shot but that I had to come back in January or February to be “fixed”. I didn’t realize I was broken so they must mean something else. HMMMMM….I’ll keep you posted. I’ve lost 6 teeth and Pruett has lost 10. He has new big boy teeth coming in in the front of his mouth and he looks silly - I’m sure he’ll grow into them.
Everything else checked out great with us. Pruett was a HUGE baby and cried like a whiny little girl but I was brave .
This weekend we are getting ready for our long drive up to New Hampshire for the holidays! We sure are excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Levine and all the pups at Shepherds’ Ledge Farm!
SEE YOU SOON!!!!

Waiting to see the doc....
I had my second vet visit today - the first though in North Carolina with my family. I got my second round of distemper shots (OUCH!) and heartworm and flea medicine. The vet thinks that my diet is okay and thinks there are just a few fleas causing the itchies. I’m a bit on the lean side - who would have known under all this fluff - but Mom and Dad let me free feed so I’ll just keep eating.
Mom and Dad put bets on how much I’d weigh. Mom guessed 16.4 and Dad guessed 17. I don’t know how Mom did it but she guessed right on - 16.4 lbs.

A little unsure of what was to come...
My weight could double by my next appointment on the 19th of November. I hope so because that would put me on track to be big like my dog Dad.
The vet said that Mom and Dad have to work on a few things like getting me used to having my mouth opened and teeth checked, laying on my back, having my nails clipped and a ’settle’ command to calm me down and take me out of my puppy fit moments. We’ll see who wins that last battle.
Everyone thought I was the snuggliest furriest thing they’d ever seen and some where convinced that Mom and Dad were trying to pass off a bear cub as their puppy. Silly humans can’t spot a GSD when it is right in front of them. Hopefully these ears will come up soon. They are really close and want to come up. Each day they stand a little taller. Just the tips are flopping over now. Sometimes one will stand up for a few seconds but flop again it does.
